SUNTOUCH Soluble Hemostatic Gauze: Advanced Wound Care
Experience superior wound management with our Soluble Hemostatic Gauze. This soft, uniformly colored fabric is available in two convenient sizes, 10x10cm and 10x90cm, and is made primarily of sodium carboxymethyl cellulose. The gauze comes in a sterile package, ensuring its effectiveness throughout its three-year shelf life.
Effective Hemostatic Action
Our Soluble Hemostatic Gauze is engineered to rapidly absorb wound exudates, forming a protective gel that stops bleeding and accelerates healing for trauma and post-operative wounds. Upon contact with a bleeding site, the gauze absorbs water from the exudates, creating a gelatinous mass that fills wound voids, seals capillary ends, and aids in hemostasis.
Indications and Contraindications
This gauze is perfect for external, short-term control of bleeding from lacerations, cuts, abrasions, and venipuncture, making it suitable for the general population, including those on anticoagulant medications. However, it is not intended for use in large-area wound hemostasis or for controlling large artery hemorrhage.
Usage Guidelines
To use, remove the gauze from its sterile packaging and cut it to fit the wound area. Apply slight direct pressure until bleeding ceases. The dosage can be adjusted according to the amount and nature of the bleeding, with multiple layers applied if necessary. If the gauze becomes saturated, moisten it with sterile water or saline solution, then gently wipe away any excess material.
General Directions
Fold the gauze in half to create two layers, then apply it to the cleaned wound using dry instruments or gloves. Apply pressure to the wound site and add more layers if needed, moistening with saline for better adherence. You can combine it with standard wound dressings for additional protection. In case of recurring bleeding, reapply pressure and add more layers as needed. To remove excess material, rinse with saline and gently wipe—avoid peeling the gauze off directly.
